The Da Nang delegation visited and worked with financial organizations, institutions, and investment funds in Switzerland
Accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos on January 20, the delegation, led by Vice Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh, engaged with various financial entities.
At the headquarters of Sygnum Bank—the world’s first digital asset bank—Chairman Le Trung Chinh shared information regarding the legal framework for crypto assets in Vietnam, infrastructure conditions, information technology capabilities, and innovation activities in Da Nang. He also discussed and clarified opportunities for foreign financial investors in Da Nang’s free trade zone and financial center.
As part of this working trip, on the same afternoon, the Da Nang delegation met with Mr. Philipp Rosler, former Vice Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Switzerland, founder, and CEO of Concessor AG.
Regarding the international financial center in Da Nang, Chairman Le Trung Chinh stated that alongside coordinating to develop a draft policy mechanism for building and developing a regional and international financial center in Vietnam, the city is also focusing on investing in the ecosystem to support the financial center, training human resources, and investing in infrastructure—particularly digital infrastructure and connectivity.
On this occasion, Chairman Le Trung Chinh represented the People’s Committee of Da Nang in signing a memorandum of cooperation with Concessor AG to implement the topics discussed during the meeting. Mr. Philipp Rosler affirmed his commitment to continue supporting and bringing European and Swiss financial investors to explore investment opportunities in Da Nang.
