Switzerland is ready to cooperate with Da Nang in the fields of finance and high-tech industry

At a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Federal Republic to Vietnam Thomas Gass on the afternoon of February 14, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh asked the Ambassador to help connect Swiss financial experts to advise and support the city in building a financial center. At the same time, he expressed his wishes for the Ambassador to promote and call on Swiss investors to survey and explore investment opportunities in Da Nang in potential fields such as tourism, high technology, semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence.
The Ambassador Thomas Gass affirmed that Switzerland is ready to cooperate with Da Nang in the fields of finance, high-tech industry, services and tourism. He also pledged to act as a bridge and promote cooperation between Vietnam and Switzerland, especially with Da Nang city, in the coming time.

Shizuoka University desires to cooperate in research and application of microchips and semiconductors

At a meeting with Professor AOKI Toru, Vice Rector and Deputy Director of the Electronics Engineering Research Institute on the afternoon of February 14, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that the city is implementing a Free Trade Zone Project, expected to be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval. This is an important foundation to help Da Nang breakthrough in a new stage of development.

The city also plans to invest 500 billion VND to build innovation spaces, while amending policies to attract talent and develop modern laboratories. By 2030, Da Nang aims to train at least 5,000 IC and semiconductor engineers, including 2,000 design engineers and 3,000 engineers, along with packaging and testing technicians. Da Nang is committed to creating favorable conditions for activities to introduce studying abroad in Japan.

Professor AOKI Toru expressed his desire to cooperate in microchip and semiconductor research in Vietnam and expects the cooperation between Shizuoka University and Da Nang to promote the high-tech industry, creating a foundation for sustainable digital development.

The Quan The Am Festival of Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang 2025 to be held from March 16 to 19, 2025

The Quan The Am Festival of Ngu Hanh Son will take place from March 16 to 19 (February 17 to 20 of the lunar calendar) at the Quan The Am temple ground and neighboring roads in Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city. This is one of the important cultural and spiritual festivals, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over.

The festival consists of two parts:

Ceremony: The focus is on the ceremony of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, with solemn religious and belief rituals, showing respect for the great compassionate person.

Assembly: Diverse cultural, artistic, sports, seminars, discussions... creating a space for exchanges and unique experiences for participants.

The festival not only aims to honor spiritual values but also contributes to preserving and promoting the national intangible cultural heritage, as well as the beauty of the Marble Mountains - a special national monument.
